1. WHAT DO I NEED TO GET A LICENSE?
To be able to get a license you need to have already passed the Written Exam, received your Instruction Permit and have a valid State ID. If you don’t have a valid State ID, the following documentation will be required:
a. Social Security Card (the original card)
c. Visa or any other form of identification (school ID, work ID, birth certificate, etc.)
d. Proof of address
2. I’M NOT A TEEN. DO I STILL NEED A PERMIT?
YES, regardless of age it is a requirement by the Secretary of State for a person to have passed the Written Exam and obtained their Instruction Permit before taking driving lessons.
3. HOW DO I GET STARTED?
We can assist you with getting your permit or if you already have your permit we can schedule your first lesson. Simply give us a call at 512-934-1785 to get started!
4. DO YOU GUARANTEE THAT I WILL PASS THE STATE ROAD TEST?
Although we do not guarantee that our students will pass the State Road Test, we do our best to prepare you for first time success. In fact, over 90% of our students pass the test the first time.
5. DO I GET A SECOND CHANCE TO TAKE THE STATE ROAD TEST?
Yes, you are eligible to take the test several times if needed. you will be required to pay the fee each time you take the test.
6. HOW DO I GO ABOUT MAKING PAYMENTS?
Cash, check, and money order payments can be made out to Travis Driving School.
Additionally, credit card payments can be made online or over the phone at any time.
7. WHAT’S YOUR AVAILABILITY?
Office hours are Monday – Friday from 10am to 6pm. Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
For driving lessons we are available 7 days a week from 6am – 6pm.
8. CAN YOU HELP ME GET A CDL LICENSE?
Unfortunately, for the moment the only licenses we provide training for is Class C not-CDL.
